Subsection (a) of Section 307 is amended to include 'rural or' before 'highly' each time it appears. A new subparagraph (B) is added to paragraph (2) of subsection (a), designating 'County veterans service organizations'. A new subparagraph (D) is added to paragraph (2) of subsection (a), designating 'Tribal organizations'. Paragraph (3) of subsection (a) is revised to refer to 'A recipient of' instead of 'A State veterans service agency or veterans service organization awarded'. A new paragraph (4) is added to subsection (a) establishing a maximum grant amount of $60,000, with a potential increase to $80,000 if a vehicle purchase is required to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Subsection (c) of Section 307 defines 'rural' and 'highly rural' using the Rural-Urban Commuting Areas (RUCA) coding system. The funding for the program is changed from a fixed amount to 'such sums as may be necessary'.
