Section 215(e)(1)(J) of the Older Americans Act of 1965 is amended to replace 'minorities' with 'minority individuals'.

The Director must submit a report to Congress every five years detailing the Office's activities.

This section establishes the Rural Outreach Grant Program under Part A of title IV of the Older Americans Act of 1965. Eligible entities for grants include States, Indian tribes, and agencies or organizations (including area agencies on aging and multipurpose senior centers) serving older individuals, LGBTQI individuals, LGBTQI older individuals, or individuals of another protected class, or providing sexual health services. The Assistant Secretary, through the Director of LGBTQI Inclusion, is authorized to make grants to eligible entities. Grant funds must be used to create partnerships between LGBTQI older individuals or older individuals of a protected class residing in rural areas and the eligible entity. Activities supported by grants include education and training, reducing isolation, fostering relationships between service providers and LGBTQI older individuals, improving cultural competency, and expanding nondiscrimination policies. Funds are intended to supplement, not supplant, existing State and local funding for LGBTQI services. Eligible entities must cooperate and coordinate with State and local government agencies and other organizations serving LGBTQI older individuals. The Assistant Secretary must establish standards and guidelines for grant activities and submit reports to Congress annually.
