The Foundation's mission is to supplement the work of the NTIA and the Commission in promoting broadband access and digital literacy. The Foundation is authorized to raise and leverage funding from various entities to promote digital opportunity. The Comptroller General of the United States will evaluate the Foundation's performance every five years.
