A career pathway partnership applicant must include a workforce development partner, an education partner, and an employer partner. Eligible education partners include institutions of higher education, area career and technical education schools, and local educational agencies. Priority for subgrant awards is given to applicants including a public institution of higher education with an associate's degree as the highest degree predominantly awarded, applicants serving individuals with barriers to employment, and those using evidence-based practices. Subgrant funds can be used for activities supporting career pathway program development and student support services, such as childcare and mental health treatment. State workforce agencies must report annually on program activities, student demographics, and performance outcomes.
