• The Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology is required to establish definitions, standards, resources, and frameworks for biological datasets to be used in artificial intelligence models.
• The Director must review and update these definitions, standards, resources, and frameworks annually to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
• The Director will establish agency-specific data management policies for each Federal agency that provides funding for qualified federally funded research to facilitate the use of artificial intelligence-ready biological datasets.
