What does GRANTS FOR PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION ASSOCIATED WITH of Housing Supply and Affordability Act do?

This section establishes a program to award grants to eligible entities for planning and implementation activities associated with affordable housing. Eligible entities include States, insular areas, metropolitan cities, urban counties, regional planning agencies, or consortia of regional planning agencies. The grants cannot be used for construction, alteration, or repair work. Regional planning agencies receiving grants must use them for planning activities, such as developing housing plans and improving housing strategies. States, insular areas, metropolitan cities, and urban counties receiving grants can use them to implement and administer housing strategies and plans. A maximum of 10 percent of grant funds can be used for administrative costs. The Secretary is directed to coordinate with the Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration. The program will terminate five years after the date of enactment of this Act.
