The Secretary must consult with various experts, including program managers, clinicians, and representatives of organizations, when developing guidance related to these evaluations. The Secretary must provide information annually to veterans about the available evaluation and its benefits. The Secretary may provide training, programming, remote monitoring, and follow-up for assistive technologies through telehealth. The Secretary must submit a report to Congress every two years detailing the number of veterans receiving evaluations and assistive technologies, and functional outcomes associated with prescribed technologies. The Secretary shall consider the provision of evaluations when reviewing the performance metrics of Veterans Integrated Service Networks.
