The disclaimer must be readily legible for audiovisual, text, or graphic communications and clearly audible and intelligible for audio-only communications. Political committees must notify the person receiving the disbursement about the disclaimer requirement. An exception applies to content posted on a political committee's own website and content posted by a compensated employee on their own social media, provided the employee's principal duties are not solely posting content. The Federal Election Commission must issue regulations to implement this subsection by January 1, 2027. The amendments will apply to communications made on or after January 1, 2027, regardless of whether the Federal Election Commission has issued regulations.
