The amendments do not supersede collective bargaining agreements or state laws providing greater employee protections. Section 15(a) of the Fair Labor Standards Act is amended to include violations of section 8 as a prohibited act. Penalties for violating section 8 are established, including legal or equitable relief. The statute of limitations for the Portal-to-Portal Act of 1947 is amended to include actions to enforce section 8 of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Section 10 of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 is repealed.
