Generally, permits for Commonwealth Only Workers are valid for up to one year and may be renewed for additional one-year periods. Aliens who were admitted as Commonwealth Only Transitional Workers during fiscal year 2015 and two of fiscal years 2016, 2017, 2018, or 2019 may be admitted for up to three years and may renew for additional three-year periods. Permits issued under this subparagraph are counted toward the numerical cap for each fiscal year.
