What does SANCTIONS. of STABLE DRC Act do?

This section authorizes the President to impose sanctions on foreign persons who violate or knowingly undermine the Washington Accords. Sanctions may include asset blocking, restricting visas, and revoking existing visas for inadmissible aliens. Exceptions exist for complying with international obligations, providing humanitarian assistance, and conducting authorized intelligence, law enforcement, or national security activities. The President is directed to establish a program to carry out these sanctions. The President may impose sanctions under this section on foreign persons already subject to sanctions under other provisions of law. Penalties for violating regulations under this section are consistent with the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The authority to impose sanctions under this section will terminate seven years after the Act's enactment.
