What does TRANSFER OF THE UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE TO THE EXECUTIVE of Secret Service Transfer Act of 2026 do?

This section transfers the United States Secret Service, including its functions, personnel, assets, and liabilities, to the Executive Office of the President. A Director of the Service will be appointed by the President and will oversee the Service's administration. The Director will receive the same compensation as the Director at the time of enactment. During a transition period, the Secretary of Homeland Security will provide assistance to the Director.
