The program will provide grants to eligible entities, such as State child welfare agencies and nonprofit organizations, for a 5-year period beginning with the enactment of this section. Not more than 5 grants will be awarded. Grant funds can only be used to develop programs designed to identify and place sibling groups together and which are evidence-based and proven to increase joint sibling placements. Grant recipients are required to submit written reports on program details, including the number of children served, sibling group sizes, placement methods, and outcomes.
