This section amends Section 100054(5) of Public Law 119-21. The amendment modifies subparagraph (A) by striking 'and' and inserting a semicolon. New clauses are added to subparagraph (A) outlining eligible uses of funds. Eligible uses include recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining law enforcement personnel. Acquiring protective equipment for law enforcement personnel is another eligible use. Funds can be used to combat digital crimes and enhance cyber investigations, including acquiring digital forensics equipment and analytical software.
