The chief ethics counsel will receive an annual salary of at least $225,000 and other counsels at least $180,000, and will serve for a maximum of two 6-year terms. Each counsel must be a licensed attorney with at least five years of experience and possess exceptional public standing. The Chief Justice can only terminate a counsel's employment for cause. The Office of Ethics Counsel will provide biannual training courses on judicial ethics for each justice. The chief ethics counsel must submit an annual report to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees detailing the ethics advice provided.
