The study will assess challenges and gaps in Holocaust education, identify needed training and resources, and evaluate the adoption of United States Holocaust Memorial Museum resources. The study will examine intended outcomes of Holocaust education, teaching methods, instructional materials, disciplines where the Holocaust is taught, and the amount of time allotted. The study will also identify approaches used to assess student knowledge of the Holocaust and their ability to analyze antisemitism, bigotry, hate, and genocide. Following the study, the Director must submit a report to Congress within 180 days of completion or 3 years after enactment.
