This section provides continuing appropriations for members of the Armed Forces for fiscal year 2026. Funding is authorized for periods when interim or full-year appropriations for fiscal year 2026 are not in effect. The appropriations cover pay and allowances for members of the Armed Forces, including reserve components, performing active service. Civilian personnel of the Department of Defense (and the Department of Homeland Security for the Coast Guard) who support Armed Forces members are also eligible for pay and allowances. Contractors of the Department of Defense (and the Department of Homeland Security for the Coast Guard) providing support to Armed Forces members are eligible for pay and allowances. The 'Secretary concerned' is defined as the Secretary of Defense for the Department of Defense and the Secretary of Homeland Security for the Coast Guard.
