What does MANUFACTURED HOUSING COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM. of PRICE Act do?

This section establishes the Manufactured Housing Community Improvement Grant Program under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. The program provides grants to eligible recipients for development or improvements in eligible manufactured housing communities. Eligible recipients include units of general local government, housing authorities, resident-owned communities, nonprofit entities, community development financial institutions, Indian Tribes, and other entities working with eligible communities. Eligible projects can include community infrastructure improvements, housing reconstruction or repair, resident health and safety activities, and land acquisition. Grants may not be used for rehabilitating units built before June 15, 1976. The Secretary will prioritize applicants benefiting low- and moderate-income residents and preserving long-term housing affordability. The Secretary may waive certain requirements to facilitate the use of funds, except those related to fair housing, nondiscrimination, labor standards, and the environment.
