Any remaining funds in the presidential election campaign fund are to be transferred to the general fund of the Treasury to reduce the deficit. Chapter 96 of subtitle H of the Internal Revenue Code is amended to prevent the provisions of that chapter from applying to any candidate after the enactment of this section for presidential elections. Clerical amendments are made to the tables of sections for chapters 95 and 96 of subtitle H of the Internal Revenue Code.
