The Secretary is required to place approximately 80 acres of land (identified as 'BLM Land-Proposed Transfer into Trust' on a map) and 185 acres of land (identified as 'Indian Creek Ranch-Proposed Transfer into Trust Land Status' on a map) into trust for the benefit of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, Shingle Springs Rancheria (Verona Tract), California, within 180 days of the Act's enactment. Before the transfer, the Secretary must review the land to determine if a survey is required. If so, the Secretary shall perform the survey and may make minor corrections to the legal land description. The land taken into trust is declared part of the Reservation and will be administered by the Secretary according to laws and regulations applicable to property held in trust for Indian Tribes. Gaming, specifically Class II and Class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, is prohibited on the land taken into trust. The 'Map' is defined as a specific map prepared by the Bureau of Land Management titled 'Proposed Bureau of Land Management Land Transfer to Shingle Springs Rancheria' and dated May 2, 2025.
