The Secretary is also required to incorporate the minimum data set into Medicare interoperability program requirements within 24 months of the certification criteria adoption. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator will establish a voluntary bonus measure within the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program for providers meeting a 90 percent or adjusted patient match rate. A voluntary reporting program will be developed for providers to anonymously submit patient matching accuracy data.
