What does HARDROCK MINING MILL SITES. of Mining Regulatory Clarity Act do?

This section amends Section 2337 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (30 U.S.C. 42) to add provisions regarding hardrock mining mill sites. It defines terms such as 'mill site,' 'operations,' 'plan of operations,' and 'public land' for the purpose of these provisions. Proprietors of lode or placer claims may locate and include mill site claims within a plan of operations, not exceeding 5 acres each. Mill sites do not convey mineral rights to the locator and are not eligible for patenting. The section includes savings provisions to protect existing rights and limit the impact on other laws and administrative actions. An 'Abandoned Hardrock Mine Fund' is established to receive claim maintenance fees collected on mill sites. The Secretary of the Interior may use funds from the Abandoned Hardrock Mine Fund to carry out section 40704 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (30 U.S.C. 1245). Section 10101 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 is amended to reference sections 2319 through 2344 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (30 U.S.C. 22 et seq.) instead of the Mining Law of 1872.
